# The Ledbetter Pay Act of 2009

## EMPLOYERS TAKE NOTE:

This law is **retroactive to May 2008 **and changes Title VII. The new law will also **restart the time clock** on payroll or annuity checks making employers subject to discrimination claims long after terminations and retirements!! Also, individuals *other than the employee* may be able to file a claim.
