# TCU Extended Ed Class: Understanding the Hispanic Workforce

## Hispanic vs. Latino – which is correct?

This course will teach the student to understand and motivate the Hispanic/Latino workforce. This is an introductory class specifically designed for those students who want to effectively manage a multi-cultural workforce with emphasis on Hispanics. The curriculum provides critical knowledge and vital skills required to address today’s complex work environments.

**Topics Include:**

- Hispanization of America Latino Values
- Needs and Expectations
- Expectations of Employers
- Recruitment Strategies
- Performance & Employee Cultural Considerations
- Rewards and Motivation
- Unionization and Employee Relations
- Overcoming Communication Barriers
